Student Applications Due Feb. 21, 2025

All high school juniors in San Diego and Imperial counties are eligible to apply to RYLA.

Before you start your application, make sure you have the following ready:

 

  • Confirm you are free the weekend of April 25 (early morning) to April 27 (late afternoon), 2025

  • GPA

  • List of clubs and other organizations you have been a part of, ideally in a leadership position

  • Description of other ways you have been involved with your community

  • List of any awards you want us to know about

  • 350-400 word essay describing your best and worst leadership experiences â€‹â€‹

  1. Make sure your parent or guardian signs the consent form. Your application won't be processed until this is done.  A link to the consent form will be emailed to you once you submit your application or use the link here on our website.

  2. Forward your application to your Rotary Club sponsor (you will automatically get a copy of your application via email).  Ask for a confirmation that it has been received.

  3. ​Forward your application to your school's RYLA coordinator, if you have one. This is usually a counselor or teacher. Ask for a confirmation that it has been received.

  4. Wait to be notified by your sponsoring Rotary Club of the time and date for your mandatory interview in early 2025.

  5. Following your interview, you will be notified of your status (selected, selected as alternate, not selected) in writing by your sponsoring Rotary Club.​​
